Dean of the Faculty of Science, Mahidol University (MUSC) Prof. Skorn Mongkolsuk together with Chairman of International Relations Policy Committee of Mahidol University Emeritus Prof. Dr. M.R. Jisnuson Svasti and Deputy Dean for Academic and International Cooperation Assist. Prof. Kanyaratt Supaibulwatana, Head of Departments and related lectures/researchers jointly welcomed delegation from the United Nations Agency for International Development (USAID), Connecting the Mekong through Education and Training (COMET), on 18 September 2015. The purpose of the visit was to better understand the research and teaching capacity of leading Thai educational institutions in Thailand as well as speaking with instructors and researchers and visit potential laboratories in MUSC. (ideally in water and sanitation, cancer or cancer-related biology research, and other disciplines and fields).
USAID COMET is a five-year project (2014-2019) that enables educators to better prepare youth for employment in key growth sectors, including science and health industries, in the Lower Mekong countries of Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, Thailand and Vietnam.
