The 1st NRCT-IFS-IRD Workshop on Research Methodology and Scientific Proposal in Natural Products, Food Science and Nutrition

At Grand Tower Inn Hotel, Bangkok, Thailand, September 28 to October 2, 2009

The National Research Council of Thailand (NRCT), the International Foundation for Science (IFS), the Institute de Recherché pour le Dévelopement (IRD) and Faculty of Science, Mahidol University (MUSC) organized the workshop on new research trends and scientific methodology and give advice on how to formulate competitive scientific research proposal for IFS funding and other grants. The 47 participants were young scientists dealing with various areas related to natural products, food science and nutrition from Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos PDR, Myanmar, Vietnam and Thailand. After the workshop, the participants had the opportunity to visit MUSC laboratories, Thailand Science Park and Bang Pa-In Summer Palace and watch the classical Thai puppet show after the farewell party at the Thai Tradition Puppet Theatre, Bangkok.
