Startup Project Released its Innovations "Liver Cancer Detector" and "Genius Pillow" One of MUSC's Business Approach Concepts in Science Teaching and Learning

February 3, 2017, Assist. Prof. Teerakiat Kerdcharoen, a Researcher from Department of Physics together with Ms. Tanthip Eamsa-ard, a PhD student in Materials Science and Engineering smartly represented the Faculty of Science, Mahidol University (MUSC), taping their joint research innovation story on “Liver Cancer Detector” with the TV record team. This research discovery story will be aired on “This is Thailand Series” of TV5 Channel. Ms. Tanthip Eamsa-ard has also presented other her research discovery called “Smart Pillow” in the “Health Tech 4 Good Forum” which was organized by the Thai Health Promotion Foundation, on 8 February 2017 in Bangkok. She won the second runner up!

The Faculty of Science, Mahidol University has strongly been encouraging students to discover new knowledge and skills that can be linked into commercial and business approaches in various concepts and channels. These smart student projects are jointly operated under professional supervision of researchers coming from both MUSC and private sectors. Ms. Tanthip Eamsa-ard is one of the students who actively participated in the establishment of “Electronic Nose Project”, this project is one of the potential startup business concepts that nowadays being popular. These research discoveries are also planned in bringing to set up a new company in Health Tech area in the future.
