\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0On Friday, 13 February 2026, the Faculty of Science, Mahidol University, through its Office of International Cooperation, successfully organized the event \u201cMahidol Science Cultural Exchange: The Food of Love\u201d at the Lecture Building, Phaya Thai Campus. The event, held from 11:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., brought together international students, researchers, and staff of the Faculty, as well as international students from both the Phaya Thai and Salaya campuses, to celebrate cultural diversity and strengthen international engagement within the academic community.<\/p>

\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0Assistant Professor Dr. Porntipa Korprasertthaworn<\/b>, Deputy Dean for Finance and Procurement, delivered the welcome address and officially opened the event on behalf of the Dean of the Faculty of Science. In her remarks, she highlighted the Faculty\u2019s ongoing commitment to fostering an inclusive and culturally diverse academic environment, aligned with its internationalization strategy aimed at integrating global perspectives into education, research, and campus life.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0Held under the theme \u201cThe Food of Love\u201d<\/b> the event emphasized the universal values of respect, appreciation of diversity, and human connection through culinary traditions. The Faculty underscored that \u201clove,\u201d in this context, extends beyond Valentine\u2019s Day symbolism to represent cross-cultural understanding and shared experiences within the international academic community.<\/p>

\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0The program featured cultural presentations and traditional dishes from Pakistan, India, Myanmar, the Philippines, and Thailand. International students introduced signature dishes representing their national heritage. Indian participants presented Pazham Pori and Samosa, while Myanmar was represented by Fried Chickpea-based Tofu, Inle Hinn Toke, and Burmese Tea. The Philippines showcased Leche Flan, a classic caramel custard dessert. Pakistan offered Chana Chaat, Kheer, and Gol Gappy, reflecting distinctive South Asian flavors. Thai representatives prepared local specialties, including Som Tam, grilled chicken with spicy herb salad, lotus petal wraps, traditional Thai desserts, sweet and sour pickled mango, and assorted beverages.
