Orientation for the delegates from Kunming Medical University to the International Training
Course: Pedagogy in Advances Biomedical Sciences and Preclinical Sciences
Faculty of Science, Mahidol University November 3rd – 23rd, 2013

On November 4th, 2013, Faculty of Science, Mahidol University, hosted the orientation and welcoming program for 15 delegates from Kunming Medical University who participate in the International Training Course, 2013, in Pedagogy in Advances Biomedical Sciences and Preclinical Sciences. On this occasion, Asst.Prof. Kanyaratt Supaibulwatana, Deputy Dean for Academic and International Cooperation and the director of this training course, welcomed all the delegates and gave introduction of Mahidol University and its willingness to enhance international cooperation with the academic partners. Besides, Assoc.Prof. Sukumal Chongthammakun, the course coordinator, also gave introduction of the overall content of the training program of 2013.

This training program provides a three-week course addressing the advances in teaching biomedical sciences, which has been offered for medical teachers from Kunming Medical University for 4 years under the MoU between Mahidol University and Kunming Medical University. The training program provides pedagogy course focusing on teaching skill, supervision, evaluation, problem base learning system, exercise and quality assurance of the curricular to face challenges and solutions of education and research globalization in the 21st century.

As a part of orientation, the delegates also visited Mahidol University, Salaya Campus, to explore the education facilities in the main campus and enjoy the welcoming lunch in the Herbs Garden restaurant, at International College of Mahidol University. Moreover, the delegates were welcomed to visiting program including Mahidol Learning Center and the Museum, College of Music and a 4-star Salaya Pavilion Hotel, to explore university's facilities and its potential in developing international courses and modern campus.
